How do I clean the Desk Mat?Updated 5 months ago
The top layer of our Desk Mat is made from Vegan Leather; as such, it's not recommended to use chemical cleaners on the surface. You can simply wipe it clean with a slightly damp and clean cloth.
You can try the following steps:
- Wipe the affected area using a damp cloth wet with clean water.
- If the stain persists, you can use a mild detergent. Take a pea-sized amount and rub the mild detergent liberally on the stained area. Then gently wipe it off using a non-abrasive cloth such as a microfibre cloth (white or similar colour is recommended to prevent colour transfer) if possible.
Please note that:
- if chemical cleaners such as bleach or solvents were used, it could permanently damage the surface, and cleaning or wiping won't fix it.
- we wouldn't recommend using leather moisturiser or conditioner as the Desk Mat isn't made from genuine leather.
As for the bottom PET felt layer, we recommend gently brushing the area with warm, soapy water if you've accidentally stained it. However, if too much pressure is applied while wiping the stained area, the PET felt will fuzz up more, causing some loose fibres to come off. So, please be gentle.
